Fechenheim

The Fechenheim is also one of the district of Frankfurt. Frankfurt is in state Hessen. The area size of Fechenheim is 7.180 Km2. The postal code of this district is 60386 and area code of this district is 069. The one side boundaries of this district is with the Offenbach and a few with Main-Kinzig-Kreis. On other side this district has the Ostend, Riederwald, Seckbach and also with BergenEnkheim. 

Originally the place was a small fishing village which was become part of Frankfurt in 1928. Fechenheim is 105m above sea level, 6.5 Km northeast of the city of Frankfurt am Main. The oldest name for this village is "Uechenheim" with the date of 977th. The Fechenheim has several owners in history, in year 1412 this village was in the hands of the families of Speyer and White and then under the last Hanauer Count Johann Reinhard III untill 1735. After the death of last Hanauer Count Johann Reinhard III in 1735 the Fechenheim comes under the Frederick I, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel. The place of Fechenheim is belong to Haesse-Kassel so in 1765 the Hanauer Landstrasse was developed. This street was a major route between Frankfurt and Hanau. At the end of 18th Century opened here the first inns "MainKur". 

During the Napoleonic Period From 1806 Fechenheim was under french Military. During the 1807 to 1810 belonged to the principality of Hanau and then from 1810 to 1813 the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt. In the mid 19th Century their are industries on both side of Hanauer Landstrasse, including the Cassella color works that were founded in 1870 by Leo Gans. Leo Gans was with 15 workers to start their work.When it was expanded after World War II and joined the Frankfurt East Harbour on the eastern outskirts of Frankfurt, the city took on talks on annexation. The Mayor Adolf Fechenheimer Miersch and the Frankfurt Mayor Ludwig Landmann was signed on 17 December 1926 the annexation agreement

Fechenheim was followed on 1 April 1928 the then eastern part of Frankfurt. This was a great loss for the District of Hanau, because Fechenheim yielded a significant share of the business tax of the circle. The indoor garden was designed in 1927 by the Fechenheim architect and professor Martin Elsaesser. It was a gift for making more interesting to the then independent decision to place the annexation to Frankfurt.
