Bonames

Bonames is one of the District of Frankfurt. Frankfurt is city of state Hessen and Hessen is state of Germany. The area that covers by this state is 3.353 Km2. The Density of this state is 1,882 /Km2. The total population of this district is 6,311. The postal code of this district is 60437 and area code of this district is 069. The name of District Bonames comes from the Latin phrase “Bona Mansio” which has its root in the time of Roman occupation. The boundaries of Bonames are with Frankfurter Berg, Kalbach Riedberg, Nieder-Ecshbach, Harheim.  

Bonames lies at the Nidda and the triangle of the Federal Highway 5 and the 661 (separates the districts Bonames and Kalbach). The underground lines U2 and U9 with the stations Kalbach (park-and-ride car park) and Bonames center and the bus routes 24, 27, 28 and 29 connect the rural district of the Rhine-Main Transport Association (RMV). The only school in the district is the August Jaspert School. It was inaugurated in 1955 as a primary school, and is now, after the founder of the Landschulheim crossroads and Frankfurt Rector August Jaspert named. Since the opening of the Otto-Hahn-school in 1969 in the neighboring district of Nieder-Eschbach, the school is a pure primary school.

Even in Roman era the traffic of this district was very good. Their is a very old road with name Roman road along with the "Stone Street". During the construction of Main-Weser line Bonames district received its own railway station, which lies at foot of today's Frankfurt Berg District. In Roman times the area of ​​today Bonames lay on the Roman road in the Wetterau between Munizipalstadt Nida (capital of the Civitas Taunensium, now Heddernheim / Roman city) and the Roman fort in Okarben, also led the Roman Long mile from the old Nidda crossing Homburg to Saalburg.  Regarding the origin of the name, there are two theories.
